I would like to upload my Assessment results from CIS-CAT Pro Assessor to the CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard, how can I accomplish this?

Solution:

If you are utilizing CIS-CAT Pro Assessor v4 and uploading reports to CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard, you must first enable the REST API and ensure the token is in place in your properties file.

Info

See these sections of the documentation to configure and enable the REST API;

  1. When a CIS-CAT Pro Assessor v4 assessment runs, at the end of the process it will initiate the POST to the CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard.

  2. It is a one-way POST from the machine that hosts CIS-CAT Pro Assessor to the machine that hosts the CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard.

  3. CIS-CAT Pro Assessor v4 does not directly interact with the database that supports CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard.

  4. The CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard takes in the POST request, deciphers it, then interacts with the database to store and then display the information.

Info

To use the cis-cat-centralized-ccpd.bat script to automate Assessment uploads to the CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard, please follow Assessing Multiple Windows Targets.
