How do consumers track the license consumption when using the CIS AMI ID in Terraform or Packer automation? |
Relative to this question and tracking. The CSPs are responsible for tracking and reporting usage and licensing. CIS does not provide any reporting to customers. This may be a question to reach out to your specific CSP for more detail around their exact tracking process.

Would consumers be charged 1 license or for all the instances which are based on the Custom AMI? For example, if we make 50-60 licensed AMIs using AWS/ Packer does this mean we'll be paying the cost of 50-60 licensed AMIs? |
Replicating a CIS-Hardened Image on AWS does not stop it from being a CIS made image which has been duplicated into AWS.
