I need to perform an assessment with CIS-CAT Assessor v4 for a Windows 10 Build 1809 system. But I cannot find a CIS Benchmark for that in the current version of CIS-CAT Assessor. Can you help me to find it please? |
Solution
As of October 2021, if you go to CIS Workbench and download the latest CIS Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise Benchmark you will see that the official title is CIS Microsoft Windows 10 Enterprise (Release 21H1 or older) Benchmark.
Updating the ADMX/ADML templates allows running the newest Benchmark against an older Windows 10 OS release.

Windows 10 updates are cumulative and apply to older builds - the latest Windows 10 benchmark can be applied to all Windows 10 systems regardless of their build number. |
