Summary
CIS is implementing a price change for all CIS Hardened Images and will be effective on March 1st, 2025. CIS Hardened Images' prices are changing on the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. The Oracle Cloud Platform new pricing model is billed per compute hour at $0.025, a 10% increase from the previous $0.0225.
Implementation Timeline and Communications
The implementation method was to build all new CIS Hardened Images with the new pricing and deprecate the old images with the old pricing.
All new images have been created and are awaiting publishing with standardized titling, updated descriptions, and new pricing of $0.025 per compute hour.
All old images with the old pricing will be removed from OCP marketplace in 90 days, on or around Mid-May 2025.
“June 2025 Removal”
CIS Hardened Images listed for deprecation on OCI will be displayed as follows. CIS’ Hardened Images hosted on OCI are visually represented as being deprecated starting in June, 2025. The deprecated image offerings will be removed 90 days after the new ones are live in the Oracle Marketplace, currently slated for the first week of July.
Visual updates to the listing, as well as to the available documentation, will continue to be made to reflect the most up-to-date information available.
