Tailoring a Benchmark in CIS WorkBench

Solution

You need to be a member of the specific CIS WorkBench Community in order to customize or tailor a Benchmark. E.g. If you want to tailor the Windows Server 2019 Benchmark you need to join the Windows Community.

To do so, navigate to the desired WorkBench Community landing page, such as the following example for the Microsoft Windows Benchmarks series, and select the “Join” button:

Open

Once you have joined the Community, the “Fork” button then becomes available on the Benchmark itself, and you can proceed with Tailoring.
