Version 1.22.0 was the final release of CIS-CAT Pro Assessor v4 Service as this functionality will still exist and is now embedded in CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3.x version series.

Version 1.22.0 is no longer available on the CIS WorkBench for download.

Solution

Upgrade to the latest version of CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3.x version series. The functionality to complete a remote assessment will be an embedded component.

  1. Login to CIS WorkBench

  2. Navigate to Downloads on menu bar

  3. Select Tag for ‘CIS-CAT Dashboard', navigate to the latest version, and download

 

The Center for Internet Security’s Support Team no longer offers support on the function of the tool. The tool will no longer be produced as a separate application as functionality is now be embedded in CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3.x.

Rationale

User experience and fast onboarding is a priority for CIS and CIS-CAT; therefore, CIS made the decision to integrate the CIS-CAT Pro Assessor v4 service functions as a standard feature within CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard, effective with the release of CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard version 3.0.0 planned for Q4 2022. 

While some organizations found CIS-CAT Pro Assessor v4 Service easy to integrate as a separate application in their environment, the majority of Members were often confused with its purpose. It was often confused with our CIS-CAT Pro Assessor v4, our full command line and GUI configuration assessment tool. Additionally, many Members experienced challenges with installation.
