Version 2.3.2 was the final release of the CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard version 2 series.

Dashboard version 3.0.0 replaced the 2.x versions on December 12th, 2022 and is not backwards compatible.

Documentation for Dashboard version 3.0.0+ is now available online.

A clean install of Dashboard version 3.0.0 will be required as there will be no upgrade or data migration options available from any previous 2.x version.

Version 2.3.2 will be available on the CIS WorkBench for download through January 2023. Final installation and configuration guides will be packaged with Dashboard v2.3.2.

Previous versions of this tool will no longer be distributed.

Vulnerability assessment features will be deprecated in v3.0.0.

Solution

If you have not installed CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard yet, we encourage you to start by installing CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3.0.0 as it became available December 12th, 2022..

If you are currently using CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v2.x, your plan to transition to CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3.0.0. should include modifications to existing routine assessment schedules and to importing results to Dashboard.

It is not possible for CIS-CAT Pro Assessor to authenticate with two Dashboard instances; therefore, Assessment output must redirect to CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3.0.0 and installed in your environment.

  1. Login to CIS WorkBench

  2. Navigate to Downloads on menu bar

  3. Select Tag for ‘CIS-CAT Dashboard', navigate to version 3.0.0, and download

 

The Center for Internet Security's Product Technical Support Team will assist Members with questions on the installation of CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v2 through January 31, 2023.

As of the release of CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3.0.0, CIS Product Technical Support will reserve the possibility of assisting members depending on their circumstances and our bandwidth.

Version 2.x is no longer be produced and released.

Existing Members and new onboarding Members are encouraged to install CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3.0.0.

User experience is a priority for CIS and CIS-CAT and we wanted to ease the onboarding challenges with CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3.0.0 and streamline installation to help you get started faster.

CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3.0.0 installs with all supporting components configured and be available for immediate use.
