Null Error During Dashboard v3 Install

Product Name

CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard

Product Version

3.0.0+

Date

Problem

I am receiving a error.Null during the Dashboard v3 installation.

Solution

This can be caused by a number of reasons. We are currently working on making the errors more verbose. Here are some initial things to check:

  • CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard v3 supports the following two file types / formats for organizational certificates:

If you are having trouble with the organizational certificate, please see our FAQ/Troubleshooting page here.

If the above requirements have been met:

  • Uninstall Dashboard, restart the server, re-install Dashboard. This time, leave the installer running for approximately 2 hours or until the MariaDB and Windows CCPD services come up. The error.Null occurs when Dashboard is still unreachable after 10 minutes. The installer is still running and will eventually complete.

  • If Dashboard still has not come up after many hours, follow the steps here to gather logs, and submit a ticket to cisecurity.org/support.
