Problem
I am experiencing Dashboard slowness and would like to mass remove reports from the backend MariaDB Database to increase Dashboard performance.
Solution
First, please first make sure that you are using Dashboard according to the Dashboard Use Case. Scanning endpoints and importing Assessments into Dashboard over the recommended use case will be slow as the system was not designed to retain tens of thousands of reports.
Here are the steps for selecting the desired Reports for deletion. The first step only performs a ‘soft-delete’.
To actually remove the assessments from the Database to increase performance, you will need to follow the second section and Configure the Final Report Delete Run Time.
We recommend scheduling a deletion window of 4 hours or more to grant the report deletion task sufficient time to run all queued removal operations against the database.
