Contributing to Benchmark Development

Problem

I would like to volunteer my (or my organization’s) time and expertise for the creation of a new official CIS Benchmark specific to a product / platform we are using or developing. What is the preferred method to do so?

Solution

We are always looking for additional qualified contributors to CIS Benchmarks. If you are interested in helping make the world's computer systems a bit safer, contributing to developing Benchmarks is a great way to do it. For more information, please send an email to:

If you would like to see a new Benchmark added but do not currently have the time or resources to contribute towards its creation, you can create a post signaling your interest in the “Benchmark Wish List” Community on CIS WorkBench:
