Problem
To better manager our deployment process, we would like to deploy AMI images using CIS Hardened Images and our pre-loaded proprietary software that can only be used and managed by our organization. Is this allowed? Would they still be recognized as CIS Benchmark AMI’s and billed accordingly.
Solution
Yes, it is allowed.
Because the organization is using their software to deploy the HIs within their organizations for customers, not packaging it with the HIs for customers' use, they are all good to do so.
Not sure we have a concrete answer for the billing part of the question.
