CIS provides monthly updates for Hardened Images which have the latest applicable OS and CIS Benchmark updates. We recommend that you use those most recent images.

If you choose to manually upgrade your Hardened Images with OS and CIS Benchmark updates you would need to validate those changes yourself and develop your own procedure.
