Problem

I’m wondering if you can track and put some details why you turned off , moved, or modified a Recommendation or sub-recommendation in a Benchmark?

  1. Locate and select the Benchmark you would like to Fork> Fork the Benchmark> name it and add any preliminary notes (if desired)> view newly Forked Benchmark which you can locate both on your Organizations Dashboard in WorkBench

  2. Next, select a Recommendation you would like to Tailor. To the right of the Recommendation you will see a pencil icon:

  3. If it is the primary Recommendation you can add notes to the Overview Section:

  4. These notes/ edits will be visible on the Workbench forked benchmark Dashboard under the full Recommendation Overview:

  5. The resultant .PDF or .Doc exported exported from WorkBench will now contain all notes you created for Recommendations.

  6. If it is a sub-Recommendation the page you can add notes to the:

    1. Description

    2. Rationale Statement

    3. Impact Statement

    4. Audit Procedure

    5. Remediation Procedure

    6. Default Value

    7. References Section

  7. These notes/ edits will be visible on the Workbench forked benchmark Dashboard under the sub-recommendation

  8. The resultant .PDF or .Doc exported from WorkBench will now contain all notes you created for Recommendations and sub-Recommendations [Exported .PDF Document snippet]:

In order to Fork a Benchmark you must be part of the relevant CIS WorkBench Community
