Problem

A new installation of CSAT Pro version 1.11 fails to validate the license files if they are located under C:\Users\ (such as C:\Users\tsmith\Downloads\). This results in the application stating that no license key has been provided:

Solution

For new v1.11 installations:

  • Move the license files (license.xml and dxlclient.config) to a folder not located in the Users directory, such as C:\CIS\License.

  • When running the CSAT Pro installer, provide this path on the license prompt window.

For existing v1.11 installations encountering this issue:

  • Move the license files (license.xml and dxlclient.config) to a folder not located in the Users directory, such as C:\CIS Tools\License.

  • Edit the (CSAT Pro directory)/config/csat-config.yml file with your preferred text editor.
Update the values for the filepath: and config: properties to reflect the new path.
Save the changes made to the file.

  • Restart the CSAT_Pro Windows service in services.msc. The license should now be detected properly.
