Problem

Questions such as

“My known safe URL is blocked by MDBR, can we work on whitelisting this URL?”
”I need assistance with setting up the DNS forwarding on the local network and firewall”

Solution

Most of the information regarding MDBR can be found on CIS' Malicious Domain Blocking and Reporting (MDBR) FAQ page. If you still have questions, please see the contact options below:

Who do I contact for changes to my MDBR account?

For any post-approval changes to your MDBR account, please submit your changes to the following email addresses:

  • For False Positives - Contact: soc@cisecurity.org

  • For technical changes, IP address range, after setting up a dynamic DNS service, etc. – Contact: operationssupport@cisecurity.org

  • For address or personnel changes (phone numbers, emails, etc.) – Contact: info@cisecurity.org

  • For Unblock Requests - Contact: operationssupport@cisecurity.org or soc@cisecurity.org

    • Both teams can support this unblock action as a case is opened with Akamai - CIS' selected DNS vendor for the MDBR service. to review. Once we have a response from Akamai, this information is relayed to the customer by the team contacted.

    • Do not contact both teams, this will lead to delayed results.
