Why is my CIS-CAT report missing some recommendations?

Some CIS Benchmarks, like the Microsoft Windows Benchmarks, have multiple profile levels that are designed for different system components or security levels. Not every profile level will include every recommendation.

For example, running the CIS Windows Server 2019 Benchmark with a profile level of Level 1 Member Server, will only show the recommendations that are applicable to a Member Server. Any recommendations specific to the Level 1 Domain Controller will not show on the report.

CIS also recommends downloading the documents associated with the desired CIS Benchmark from the CIS WorkBench for a better understanding of which recommendations are associated with each profile.
