401 Authentication Token Error during LDAP-enabled Dashboard Report Upload

Product Name

Problem

I have LDAP integration setup with Dashboard and have properly configured CIS-CAT Pro Assessor for automatic report uploads. However, I receive a 401 Authentication Token Error when trying to upload reports to Dashboard.

Solution

A LDAP / Active Directory user assigned to the CCPD_API Security Group is required in order to generate an authentication token to import Asset Report Format (ARF) results from CIS-CAT Assessor. This user should not be a member of any other CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard Security Group (CCPD_USER or CCPD_ADMIN).

Please note that the selected LDAP/AD username should not contain spaces.

This generated 32-character token then needs to be placed in the:
(Assessor directory)/config/assessor-cli.properties
file under the ciscat.post.parameter.ccpd.token= parameter:

All LDAP accounts used with CIS-CAT Pro Dashboard are additionally required to have their “Email” field populated. Please refer to this section of the documentation on LDAP Requirements.
