CIS-CAT Lite 4.34.0+ on Windows 11 results in Benchmark Autodetect error

Problem

When using CIS-CAT Lite on a Windows 11 system, the automatic Benchmark detection feature attempts to select the Windows 11 Benchmark, which is not part of Lite. An error will occur, and no other Benchmark will be selectable.

Solution

Exit out of the CIS-CAT Lite GUI. Navigate to the (CIS-CAT Lite folder)/config/ directory and open the assessor-cli.properties file in your preferred text editor.

Set the gui.auto.detect.benchmark property to false:

Save the changes made to the file and re-open the CIS-CAT Lite GUI. You can now select your desired Benchmark from the list of available options.
