Problem
After upgrading from v1.1.0.21 to v1.1.0.22, a simple system upgrade via apt started failing with permission errors on the /tmp partition.
Solution
This failure is occurring due to the permissions configured on /tmp. This is part of the associated benchmark, with recommendation 1.1.2 Ensure /tmp is configured. In this case, it's best for the user to temporarily remove the security recommendation on /tmp to allow their package update to run and reimplement the security recommendation as per the benchmark.
CIS is currently working to improve this issue.
