Solution
Yes, CIS has implemented certain updates to the CIS AWS Hardened Images. As such:
from December 6th, 2023 through early Q2 2024, CIS will not be able to add new instance types to the CIS Hardened Images on AWS.
Please note: all configurations and base images remain the same
