CIS is implementing a price change for all CIS Hardened Images. The current commitment from Microsoft is that the new pricing will be effective in totality on March 1st, 2025.
CIS Hardened Images' prices are changing from $0.0225 per compute hour to a range of $0.01-$0.06 based on the core size.
Implementation Timeline and Communications
Existing subscribers will only adopt new pricing when migrating to new versions of the CIS Hardened Images.
E.g., A current subscriber is on CIS Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 v1.0.0.1 on the old pricing. On March 1, the new pricing is effective on CIS Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 v1.0.0.2. The subscriber stays on v1.0.0.1 on the old pricing. Only after they move to v1.0.0.2 will they be charged the new pricing.

All current Azure Hardened Images subscribers should have receive the below automated email notification of the price change on or aroundNov 22, 2024. CIS cannot customize this text, nor can we determine who it is sent to. That is managed by Azure.
