Problem

How can I find out easily, in a draft version, what has changed compared to the previous version?

Is there an easier way to identify the changes?

Solution

There is no easy way to identify changes in a Draft version of a Benchmark. The downloadable draft PDF will be made available about 2 weeks before the final release, and it will include the traditional Change History (just like the final version).

See this WorkBench Discussion entitled “How to easily identify changes?

*You will need to join the CIS Microsoft Windows Benchmarks community to view the discussion post.

There is a section at the end of all published CIS Benchmarks titled “Appendix: Change History” that provides details about changes in recommendations. The “Appendix: Change History” for Windows Benchmarks only appears in the PDF Benchmark versions (not Word docs)
